1. In the Forbes Magazines’s Annual Rich List, Industrialist Mukesh Ambani regained his position as the world’s richest Indian with a networth of $19.6 billion, as pharma tycoon Dilip Shanghvi slipped to the second place after remaining on the top for about seven weeks.
पत्रिका फोर्ब्स की धनवानों की सालाना सूची में उद्योगपति मुकेश अंबानी ने दुनिया में सबसे धनी भारतीय का अपना स्थान फिर से हासिल कर लिया है। अंबानी 19.6 अरब डॉलर के नेटवर्थ के साथ पहले स्थान पर हैं जबकि औषधि क्षेत्र के दिग्गज दिलीप सांघवी सात सप्ताह शीर्ष स्थान पर रहने के बाद दूसरे स्थान पर आ गये हैं।
2. Uttar Pradesh has signed two memorandum of understanding (MoUs) for establishing a solar and an ultra-mega solar power project in the state. While the first MoU was signed between Uttar Pradesh and the department of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, the second was inked between the Solar energy Corporation of India and Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Agency (UPNEDA). These solar plants were being established under the solar policy 2013. Once these plants are commissioned, the state would get 600 MW solar energy.
उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने राज्य में सोलर पार्क तथा अल्ट्रा मेगा सोलर पावर प्रोजेक्ट की स्थापना हेतु दो समझौता ज्ञापनों (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षरित किए। पहला एमओयू केन्द्रीय नवीन एवं नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्रालय तथा उत्तर प्रदेश के बीच तथा दूसरा एमओयू सोलर एनर्जी कारपोरेशन ऑफ इण्डिया तथा उत्तर प्रदेश नवीन एवं नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा एजेन्सी (यूपीएनडाए) के बीच निष्पादित किया गया। प्रदेश की सौर ऊर्जा नीति-2013 के अनुसार इन सोलर पार्कों की स्थापना की जा रही है। इन सोलर पार्कों और सोलर पावर प्रोजेक्टों की स्थापना से प्रदेश को 600 मेगावाट सौर ऊर्जा मिल सकेगी।

4. The government has raised the limit of foreign direct investment in pension sector to 49 per cent in line with the FDI cap in the insurance sector. The FDI cap in the sector has been hiked to 49 per cent and that includes foreign investment in the forms of FPI, FII, QFI, FVCI, NRI and DR. All investments in the pension sector, however, will have to abide by the pension sector regulator PFRDA.
सरकार ने बीमा क्षेत्र की तरह ही पेंशन क्षेत्र में भी प्रत्यक्ष विदेशी निवेश (एफडीआई) की सीमा बढ़ा कर 49 फीसदी कर दी है। इसके अतिरिक्त इस सेक्टर में फॉरेन पोर्टफोलियो इन्वेस्टमेंट, एफआईआई, क्यूएफआई, एफवीसीआई, एनआरआई और डीआर के जरिए विदेशी निवेश किया जा सकता है। पेंशन सेक्टर में सभी निवेशों को पेंशन सेक्टर के नियामक पीएफआरडीए के नियम मानने होंगे।
5. Bharatiya Mahila Bank (BMB) has won the Asian Banker Achievement Award 2015. The award was presented to the BMB in the Technology Implementation category of Best Outsourcing Project (New Bank). Usha Ananthasubramanian, Chairman and Managing Director of BMB received the award at a function held in Hongkong as a part of The Asian Banker Summit 2015.
भारतीय महिला बैंक (बीएमबी) ने सर्वश्रेष्ठ आउटसोर्सिंग परियोजना (नए बैंक) की श्रेणी में प्रौद्योगिकी कार्यान्वयन के लिए एशियन बैंकर अचीवमेंट अवार्ड 2015 जीता है। पुरस्कार उषा अनंतसुब्रह्मण्यन, अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक, भारतीय महिला बैंक द्वारा हांगकांग में हाल ही में आयोजित एशियन बैंकर शिखर सम्मेलन 2015 के एक समारोह में प्राप्त किया गया।
6. India was crowned champions for the first time in the 22nd President’s Cup Boxing Tournament in Palembang, Indonesia when Rakesh Kumar (69kg) and Harpal Singh (75kg) struck gold. The Indian team logged 33 points to finish ahead of second-placed Mongolia. India finished with four gold and a bronze at the end of the event. Earlier, Shamjetsabam Sarjubala (48kg) and Pinki Jangra (51kg) had clinched the yellow metal in the women’s competition.

7. English Premier League Club Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has won the Professional Footballers’ Association Player of the Year award. Hazard, 24, has scored 13 goals and made eight assists in 33 Premier League games to help leaders Chelsea move to the cusp of the title. Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, 21, was named PFA Young Player of the Year, while Chelsea midfielder Ji So-Yun took the Women’s Player of the Year award.

8. Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton has been named as the richest sportsman in Britain with a fortune of £88m, an increase of £20m on the previous year. The list of richest sportsman was published by Britain’s newspaper The Sunday Times. Manchester United footballer Wayne Rooney came at second place, just ahead of McLaren F1 driver Jenson Button.

9. World’s number five Kei Nishikori claimed the ninth ATP Tour title of his career when he retained the Barcelona Open title with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Spain’s Pablo Andujar. With this win he clinched the Barcelona Open title consecutively for second time.
विश्व के पांचवें नंबर के खिलाड़ी जापान के केई निशिकोरी ने फाइनल मुकाबले में स्पेन के पाब्लो एंदुजार को हराकर लगातार दूसरी बार बार्सिलोना ओपन टेनिस टूर्नामेंट खिताब जीता। निशिकोरी ने एक घंटे 35 मिनट तक चले संर्घषपूर्ण मुकाबले में एंदुजार को 6-4, 6-4 से हरा दिया। यह उनके कैरियर का नौवां एटीपी टूर खिताब है।
10. Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED) functioning under Ministry of Tribal Affairs, has bagged the “National Award for Excellence in Training for the Year 2015″ in a contest organized by the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India. This was disclosed by the Managing Director TRIFED, K.B.S. Sidhu under whose stewardship TRIFED exhibited a five-fold increase in the number of trainees.
जनजातीय मामलों के मंत्रालय के प्रशासनिक नियंत्रण में संचालित भारतीय जनजातीय सहकारी विपणन विकास संघ लिमिटेड (ट्राईफेड) ने प्रशिक्षण में विशिष्ठता के लिए 2014-15 का राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार प्राप्त किया है। ट्राईफेड को यह पुरस्कार भारत सरकार के कार्मिक व प्रशिक्षण विभाग द्वारा आयोजित प्रतियोगिता में प्राप्त हुआ। यह जानकारी ट्राईफेड के निदेशक के.बी.एस. सिधू ने दी जिनके नेतृत्व में ट्राईफेड ने प्रशिक्षणार्थियों की संख्या में पांच गुना बढ़ोतरी की है।
11. Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev extended his 25-year rule over Central Asia’s largest economy, Indonesia, winning 97.7 per cent of votes in an election where he faced no real competition.
कजाकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति नूरसुल्तान नजरबायेव ने इंडोनेशिया के राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में 97.7 फीसदी मतों के साथ पांचवीं बार ऐतिहासिक जीत दर्ज करते हुए अपने 25 वर्षों के शासन को आगे बढाया।
